Yumthang Valley

Yumthang Valley, often called the “Valley of Flowers of the East,” is a breathtaking alpine sanctuary in North Sikkim. Located at an altitude of around 3,500 meters, it’s surrounded by snow-capped peaks, lush meadows, and vibrant rhododendron forests. The valley is part of the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, which hosts over 24 varieties of rhododendrons and countless wildflowers, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. About 150 km from Gangtok, Yumthang offers a serene escape with its steaming hot springs, grazing yaks, and tranquil rivers, blending natural beauty with cultural richness.
