Pelling, Namchi and Ravangla Tour Overview

Pelling, Ravangla and Namchi are three popular tourist destinations in Sikkim, a state in northeast India. They offer scenic views of the Himalayan mountains, especially Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. They also have many cultural and religious attractions, such as monasteries, temples, statues and gardens.

Pelling, Namchi and Ravangla Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Our vehicle will pick you up From NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport on first day and will drop you in pre-booked hotel in Pelling.
Day 2
We will start the day a little early in the morning around 8 O'clock, after a little breakfast.
Khechuperi Lake: A sacred lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, believed to be the footprint of Tara Jetsun Dolma, a female Bodhisattva. The lake is surrounded by prayer flags and has no leaves on its surface, as the birds keep it clean. It is also known as a 'wish fulfilment lake'.
Kanchenzonga Waterfalls: A spectacular waterfall on the way to Yuksam, named after the Kanchenjunga mountain. The waterfall is fed by melting glaciers and has a height of about 300 feet. It is a popular spot for photography and adventure activities like rappelling.
Rimbi Waterfalls: A scenic waterfall near Darap Village, formed over the Rimbi River. The waterfall is a good place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. There is also a hydro power station near the waterfall, which is one of the oldest in Sikkim .

Pelling Skywalk and Chenrezig Statue: A glass-bottomed skywalk that offers a thrilling view of the valley below. The skywalk is located near the 137 -feet tall statue of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion, which is the fourth tallest statue in Sikkim. The statue and the skywalk are part of the Pelling Eco Park, which also has a garden, a cafeteria, and a souvenir shop .
Changey Waterfalls: A hidden gem in the hills of Sikkim, located about 10 km from Pelling. The waterfall is about 100 feet high and can be reached by a short trek through the forest. The waterfall is a serene and peaceful place, away from the crowds and noise .

Dentam Valley: Dentam valley is a scenic and serene destination in West Sikkim, known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. It lies at an elevation of around 1500 meters and offers a view of the Kanchenjunga range.
Singshore Bridge: The highest bridge in Sikkim, and the second highest in Asia, spanning a length of 198 meters and a height of 220 meters. The bridge connects two hills, and offers a thrilling experience of crossing over a deep gorge.

Day 3
Rabdentse Palace: This was the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. It was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and now only the ruins of the palace and the chortens remain. It is a national monument and a popular tourist attraction.
Sidkyong Tulku Bird Park: This is a bird sanctuary that houses over 200 species of exotic birds, including pheasants, macaws, emus, swans and ducks. It is named after Sidkyong Tulku, the 10th Chogyal of Sikkim and the founding father of modern forestry in the state. It also has a lake, a museum, a meditation centre and a souvenir shop.
Ravangla Buddha Park: This is a pilgrimage and cultural centre that features a 130-foot-high statue of the Buddha, built to mark the 2550th anniversary of his birth. The statue is made of copper and is an example of repousse work. It is surrounded by a park with a lake, a museum, a spiral gallery and a meditation hall.

Temi Tea Garden: This is the only tea garden in Sikkim and is considered one of the best in India and the world. It produces organic tea that is in high demand in the international market. The tea garden covers an area of 177 hectares and has a scenic view of the mountains and the valleys. It also has a bungalow, a cafeteria and a curio shop.
Sandruptse: This is a hill that has a 135-foot-high statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. The statue is made of copper and gold and is visible from a long distance. It is also known as the 'wish fulfilling hill' and is a place of worship and meditation.
Namchi Central Park: This is a public park that has a fountain, a flower garden, a children's play area and a market. It is a good place to relax and enjoy the view of the town and the mountains.
You can visit the Central park after dinner too.

Day 4
Char Dham: A set of four pilgrimage sites in India that are widely revered by Hindus. They are Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameswaram. Visiting these sites is
believed to help achieve moksha (salvation). There is also a replica of these sites in Namchi, called Siddheswar Dham or Solophok Chardham.
Namchi Rock Garden: A well laid out garden situated on the way to Samdruptse Hill. It has different species of plants, flowers and trees. It also has waiting sheds, viewpoints and water bodies. There is a ropeway that connects the garden with Samdruptse Hill.
Namchi Sai Mandir: A Hindu temple dedicated to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. It is a two - storied building with a statue of Sai Baba on the first floor and a hall for singing hymns on the ground floor. It also has paintings of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful garden that offers a view of Mt. Kanchendzonga.
Namchi Helipad: An open space with a large roundabout. It is about 5 kms from the town of Namchi. It also provides amazing views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the Char Dham complex, the Temi Tea Garden and the plains of Bengal.
