Gangtok, Pelling and Namchi Tour Overview

Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, sits amidst the majestic Kanchenjunga range. This charming city boasts attractions like the Nathula Pass, New Baba Mandir, and the serene Tsomgo Lake. Meanwhile, Pelling, a picturesque hill station, offers breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga. Visitors can explore natural wonders and immerse themselves in the local culture. Both towns promise an unforgettable experience against the backdrop of the Himalayas.

Gangtok, Pelling and Namchi Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Bagdogra airport/ NJP and take a pre booked vehicle to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Teesta river. Reach Gangtok by the afternoon and explore the MG Road, a pedestrian-only shopping street with cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Stay overnight in Gangtok.
Day 2
Our vehicle will pick you up from hotel you are staying and take you to the beautiful hilly destinations like Tsongmo lake (Changu lake), New Baba mandir and Nathula Pass. You can always ask driver to stop in between the journey to witness beautiful sceneries around you. You can witness beautiful lakes and valleys in between. In evening, we will return to Gangtok.
Day 3
Via Ravangla
We will start our journey from Gangtok and drive to Temi Tea Garden, which is the only organic tea garden in Sikkim and is considered one of the best in India and the world. You can witness the tea-making process and soak in the lush greenery of the plantations. From there, you can proceed to Ravangla, which is a scenic town in the foothills of the Himalayas. There you can visit the Buddha Park, which has a 130-foot-high statue of the Buddha. You can also visit the Ralang Monastery, which is one of the most important monasteries of the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
OR Via Namchi
You can explore Namchi, which is the cultural capital of Sikkim. You can visit the Char Dham and Samdruptse Monastery for spiritual enlightenment. The Char Dham is a temple complex with replicas of four highly revered Hindu pilgrimage sites and a giant statue of Lord Shiva. The Samdruptse Monastery has a huge statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. You can also visit the and Namchi Rock Garden.
After that we will head towards Pelling to stay for the day.
Day 4
We will start the day a little early in the morning around 8 O'clock, after a little breakfast. Khechuperi Lake: A sacred lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, believed to be the footprint of Tara Jetsun Dolma, a female Bodhisattva. The lake is surrounded by prayer flags and has no leaves on its surface, as the birds keep it clean. It is also known as a 'wish fulfilment lake'.
Kanchenzonga Waterfalls: A spectacular waterfall on the way to Yuksam, named after the Kanchenjunga mountain. The waterfall is fed by melting glaciers and has a height of about 300 feet. It is a popular spot for photography and adventure activities like rappelling. Rimbi Waterfalls: A scenic waterfall near Darap Village, formed over the Rimbi River. The waterfall is a good place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. There is also a hydro power station near the waterfall, which is one of the oldest in Sikkim. Pelling Skywalk and Chenrezig Statue: A glass-bottomed skywalk that offers a thrilling view of the valley below. The skywalk is located near the 137 -feet tall statue of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion, which is the fourth tallest statue in Sikkim. The statue and the skywalk are part of the Pelling Eco Park, which also has a garden, a cafeteria, and a souvenir shop.
Day 5
Drive back to Bagdogra/ NJP and catch your flight/ Train back home.
