Gangtok, Ravangla and Pelling Tour Overview

Gangtok, Ravangla and Pelling Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Bagdogra airport/ NJP and take a pre booked vehicle to Pelling. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Teesta and Rangeet rivers.
Day 2
We will start the day a little early in the morning around 8 O'clock, after a little breakfast. Khechuperi Lake: A sacred lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, believed to be the footprint of Tara Jetsun Dolma, a female Bodhisattva. The lake is surrounded byprayer flags and has no leaves on its surface, as the birds keep it clean. It is also known as a 'wish fulfilment lake'. Rimbi Waterfalls: A scenic waterfall near Darap Village, formed over the Rimbi River. The waterfall is a good place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. There is also a hydro power station near the waterfall, which is one of the oldest in Sikkim.
Kanchenzonga Waterfalls: A spectacular waterfall on the way to Yuksam, named after the Kanchenjunga Mountain. The waterfall is fed by melting glaciers andhas a height of about 300 feet. It is a popular spot for photography and adventure activities like rappelling.
We will travel towards Yuksam and visit some historical and natural places there. Norbugang Park: This is where the first king of Sikkim was crowned in 1642.You can see the stone throne, the chorten, and the sacred lake of Kathok here. Dubdi Monastery: This is the oldest monastery in Sikkim, built in 1647. It is located on a hilltop and offers a panoramic view of the town and the mountains. Kartok Monastery: This is a beautiful monastery near the Kartok Lake, which is considered sacred by the locals. You can admire the architecture and the paintings inside the monastery.
Day 3
Next day we will return to Pelling and cover the remaning places. Pelling Skywalk and Chenrezig Statue: A glass-bottomed skywalk that offers a thrilling view of the valley below. The skywalk is located near the 137 -feet tall statue of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion, which is the fourth tallest statue in Sikkim. The statue and the skywalk are part of the Pelling Eco Park, which also has a garden, a cafeteria, and a souvenir shop. Rabdentse Palace: This was the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. It was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and now only the ruins of the palace and the chortens remain. It is a national monument and a popular tourist attraction. Sidkyong Tulku Bird Park: This is a bird sanctuary that houses over 200 species of exotic birds, including pheasants, macaws, emus, swans and ducks. It is named after Sidkyong Tulku, the 10th Chogyal of Sikkim and the founding father of modern forestry in the state. It also has a lake, a museum, a meditation centre and a souvenir shop.
Day 4
We will start our journey from Pelling drive to Temi Tea Garden, which is the onlyorganicteagardeninSikkimandisconsideredoneofthebestinIndiaandtheworld.Youcan witness the tea-making process and soak in the lush greenery of the plantations. From there, you can proceed to Ravangla, which is a scenic town in the foothills of the Himalayas. There you can visit the Buddha Park, which has a 130-foot-high statue of the Buddha. You can also visit the Ralang Monastery, which is one of the most important monasteries of the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism. You can stay overnight in Namchi, as per your preference.
Day 5
You can explore Namchi, which is the cultural capital of Sikkim. You can visit the Char Dham and Samdruptse Monastery for spiritual enlightenment. The Char Dham is a temple complex with replicas off our highly revered Hindu pilgrimages it esanda giant statue of Lord Shiva. The Samdruptse Monastery has a huge statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. You can also visit the and Namchi Rock Garden. After that we will head towards Gangtok to stay for the day
Day 6
Our vehicle will pick you up from hotel you are stay in gand take you to the beautiful hilly destinations like Tsongmo lake (Changu lake), New Baba mandir and Nathula Pass, Yak Golf Course (Highest Golf Course of the world), Kupup, Elephant Lake, Zuluk. You can always ask driver to stop in between the journey to witness beautiful sceneries round you. You can witness beautiful lakes and valleys in between. In evening, we will return to Zuluk.
Day 7
We will start our day from Zuluk, Phadamchen village, Aritar Mangkhim Viewpoint, Lampokhari Lake, Rumtek Gumpa, and back in Gangtok. Stayin Gangtok for the day.
Day 8
Depart from Gangtok in the morning and enjoy the scenic drive along the Teesta river.Wewillstopatsomeoftheattractionsontheway,suchasTashiViewpoint,NagaFalls,C hungthang Confluence and Bhim Nala Falls. We will Reach Lachung by evening and check-inat a hotel or guest house. Enjoy the local cuisine and culture of Lachung, a small village with a Tibetan influence.
Day 9
After breakfast, head to Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers. We will witness the stunning views of snow-capped mountains, colorful flowers and hot springs in the valley.

Return to Lachung and have lunch and we will drive back to Gangtok and reach by evening.
Day 10
Drive back to Bagdogra/ NJP and catch your flight/ Train back home. You can also extend your trip by visiting Darjeeling, a hill station in West Bengal, known for its teagardens, toy train, and colonial charm.
